Biografía
Nacido en Fresno, California, Frank Thomas asistió a la Universidad de Stanford, donde fue miembro de la fraternidad Theta Delta Chi y trabajó en la revista de humor del campus The Stanford Chaparral junto a Ollie Johnston. Tras graduarse de Stanford, asistió al Chouinard Art Institute, y luego se unió a The Walt Disney Company el 24 de septiembre de 1934 como empleado número 224. Allí animó docenas de largometrajes y cortometrajes, y también fue miembro de la banda de Dixieland Firehouse Five Plus Two, tocando el piano.
