Biografía
Walter Leland Cronkite Jr. (St. Joseph, Misuri, 4 de noviembre de 1916-Nueva York, 17 de julio de 2009) fue un periodista y presentador de noticias televisivo estadounidense, reconocido por servir como presentador de noticias en CBS Evening News desde 1962 a 1981. Durante décadas, fue considerado "el hombre más confiable" de su país. Además de su rol como periodista, Cronkite apareció o prestó su voz para variadas producciones del cine y la televisión.
