Lorraine Ashbourne

Lorraine Ashbourne (nascida em 1961 em Manchester) é uma atriz inglesa de teatro, cinema e televisão. Ela frequentou a Wilbraham High School, quando morava em Fallowfield. Ela se juntou ao Stretford Children's Theatre. Participou da University of Manchester Stage Society e do Manchester Youth Theatre. Ela ingressou na Webber Drama School em 19 de abril de 1982. Ashbourne apareceu em séries britânicas e filmes para televisão, incluindo: "Playing the Field" (1998), "Unforgotten" (2017), "Grantchester" (2017), "Maigret in Montmartre" (2017), "Midsomer Murders" (2018), "The Street" e "Jericho".

Como atriz de teatro, Lorraine apareceu regularmente no Royal Exchange Theatre em Manchester, interpretando papéis como Kate Hardcastle em "She Stoops to Conquer" e Emilia em "Othello", atuando em ambos ao lado de seu marido Andy Serkis.

Em 2019, ela interpretou Barbara Castle em "The Crown" (2019) e, a partir de 2020, interpretou a Sra. Varley em "Bridgerton". Ela interpretou Joan Nuthall em "Alma's Not Normal" (2020) e foi Daphne Sparrow em "Sherwood" (2022). Ela interpretou Karen em "I Hate Suzie" (2024) e apareceu em "After the Flood" (2024).
