Biografia
Steven Lawrence Whitmire (Atlanta, 24 de setembro de 1959) é o bonequeiro americano, conhecido principalmente por seu trabalho em Os Muppets e Sesame Street. Começando seu envolvimento com os Muppets em 1978, Whitmire herdou os papéis de Ernie e Kermit the Frog após a morte de Jim Henson em 1990; ele interpretou os personagens até 2014 e 2016, respectivamente. Como parte do elenco dos Muppets, ele apareceu em vários filmes e séries de televisão, interpretando uma variedade de personagens no The Muppet Show, Sesame Street e Fraggle Rock e durante tais ocupações foi contratado pela The Jim Henson Company, Sesame Workshop, e The Muppets Studio.
