Biografía
Eddie Acuff (3 de junio de 1908 – 17 de diciembre de 1956) fue un actor estadounidense. Su papel recurrente más conocido es el de Mr. Beasley, el cartero, en la serie de películas "Blondie" que protagonizaron Penny Singleton y Arthur Lake.
Acuff nació Edward DeKalb Acuff en Caruthersville, Misuri. Su tío materno fue un artista en los barcos de espectáculo del siglo XIX a lo largo del río Misisipi.
Antes de comenzar su carrera cinematográfica en Hollywood en 1934, Acuff actuó en el teatro de Broadway a principios de la década de 1930. Sus créditos en Broadway incluyen "Jayhawker" (1934), "Yellow Jack" (1934), "John Brown" (1934), "Growing Pains" (1933), "Heat Lightning" (1933) y "The Dark Hours" (1932).
Se le vio en tres seriales cinematográficos: como Curly en "Jungle Girl", como Red Kelly en "Daredevils of the West" y como Spud Warner en "Chick Carter Detective".
El 17 de diciembre de 1956, Acuff murió de un ataque al corazón en Hollywood, California. Está enterrado en el cementerio Valhalla Memorial Park.
