Biografia
Eddie Acuff (3 de junho de 1908 – 17 de dezembro de 1956) foi um ator americano. Seu papel recorrente mais conhecido é o de Sr. Beasley, o carteiro, na série de filmes "Blondie", que estrelou Penny Singleton e Arthur Lake.
Acuff nasceu Edward DeKalb Acuff em Caruthersville, Missouri. Seu tio materno era um artista em barcos de show do século 19 ao longo do rio Mississippi.
Antes de começar sua carreira no cinema de Hollywood em 1934, Acuff atuou no teatro da Broadway no início da década de 1930. Seus créditos na Broadway incluem "Jayhawker" (1934), "Yellow Jack" (1934), "John Brown" (1934), "Growing Pains" (1933), "Heat Lightning" (1933) e "The Dark Hours" (1932).
Ele foi visto em três seriados de filmes — como Curly em "Jungle Girl", como Red Kelly em "Daredevils of the West" e como Spud Warner em "Chick Carter Detective".
Em 17 de dezembro de 1956, Acuff morreu de um ataque cardíaco em Hollywood, Califórnia. Ele está enterrado no Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery.
