We didn't ask for permission
Some people love cinema and some people build it. Once in a while both happen in the same person, in the same room, at 3 a.m.
CineQuiz was born from a dumb question: why is it so hard to know how many films a director made with the same actor? The answer was that nobody had bothered.
We stayed up. 330 thousand titles later, in three languages, with 12 columnists, 1,051 achievements and 99 levels, the bedroom became a studio.
Nobody handed us a slice. We cut our own.

Bigger catalogues than ours exist. 8.0 million movie questions do not.
This category didn't exist until we built it. Nobody had taken an entire archive — film, series, drama, cast, box office, awards, franchise — and turned it into questions. Poster, synopsis, cast, year, return on investment. Everything becomes a game.
And here is the part nobody can copy quickly: every question is born from a fact that exists in the database. No model invented an option, no intern guessed an answer. If the question is live, the answer is verifiable.

It isn't true. And a brand that starts by lying has nowhere to grow.
There are bigger databases than ours, and ours drinks from one of them. Pretending otherwise would be easy, would last a week and would cost everything.
So we chose the category where the number is ours and nobody disputes it. We are not the largest catalogue. We are the largest quiz. And that is a title we can prove line by line.
Largest is a metric. Irreplaceable is a position.
