Biography

Hideaki Nitani (Japanese: 二谷 英明, Nitani Hideaki) (Maizuru, January 28, 1930 – Tokyo, January 7, 2012) was a Japanese actor.

Nitani first worked as a broadcaster for a local station in Nagasaki before changing careers in 1956 when he got the chance to become an actor at the film studio Nikkatsu. He soon gained fame and became the most prominent actor of the film studio. He worked with well-known actors such as Yujiro Ishihara and Akira Kobayashi.
