Inés Efrón

Inés Efron (* 1985) is an Argentine actress. She gained recognition with the film "XXY" by Lucía Puenzo, in which she plays an intersex teenager. Her character is a 15-year-old named Alex, who is trying to come to terms with her identity. Efron said about her role: "I really liked this character and thought: You can do this. I felt a real connection."

For her performance, Efron won the Best Actress award at the Cartagena Film Festival as well as three other awards. In the film "Glue," she played one of three teenagers in a small town in Patagonia. In the 2009 film "Das Fischkind," she played the lead role, again directed by Lucía Puenzo.
