Biography

Jan Pohan, born Kurt Ferdinand Jüstl (7 December 1930 Karlovy Vary-Drahovice – 13 February 2015 Prague), was a Czech actor.

He began his artistic career during his military service, where he worked as a presenter in the Army Art Ensemble named after Víta Nejedlý. Later, he spent five years performing in the touring Vesnické divadlo (1955–1960). Given that he worked for many years in the acting ensemble of Barrandov Film Studios, he appeared in a relatively large number of Czech films.
