Roberto Messina

Roberto Messina (born January 2, 1934, in Casablanca, Morocco) is an Italian actor and extra.

Like his brother Emilio Messina (1936–2007), Messina has been active since the 1960s as an extra and minor actor in Italian genre films—first in *sandalo* films, then in *spaghetti Westerns*, and later in crime films, where they contributed to action scenes in numerous films, occasionally appearing in small speaking roles. Messina, who was sometimes credited as Bob Messenger or Red Buchanan, played the role of *"Signor Tozzi"* in the first four films of *"Superpoliziotto Nick Geraldi"* alongside Thomas Milian in a recurring role and his famous character. He also worked as a weapons maker and assistant director in many films. In the 1980s, his appearances became much rarer, with his last on-screen role in *Out of Control* (1992).

Messina currently lives in Venice, Florida.
