Eugene Deckers

Eugene Francis Deckers (Antwerp, 22 October 1917 – Paris, France, 1977) was a Belgian actor who was primarily active in Great Britain.

Deckers made his first appearance in an English-language film in 1946. After a few romantic roles, he specialized in continental parts, such as a conservative concierge or a domineering diplomat. As he grew older, he expanded his acting repertoire to include German, Italian, and French character roles.

One of his most notable roles was the amiable arms dealer Peters in *North West Frontier* (1959). Deckers also appeared in the Sheldon Reynolds television series *Foreign Intrigue* in the 1950s. In 1954 and '55, Deckers played seven different characters in the French Sheldon Reynolds television series *Sherlock Holmes*.

After appearing in over fifty film and television roles, Deckers made his final appearance in 1969 in the film *The Assassination Bureau*.
